UFC 145 will answer these five questions
While most of the hype around UFC 145 has been around Jon Jones and Rashad Evans, there are 11 other bouts on the card. What questions will they answer? Read on.
Are the young phenoms with similar names the real deal? Michael McDonald and Rory MacDonald are both barely old enough to buy a beer after their fights, but have 28 bouts with just two losses total. McDonald's bout with Miguel Torres will show if he is ready to jump towards contender status, while the last time MacDonald fought with such a bright light on him, he was knocked out with seven seconds left to go by Carlos Condit.

What did the loss to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira do to Brendan Schaub's mental make-up? If you've been reading Ben Fowlkes' excellent series, "The Hurt Business," you know Schaub is a fighter who needs to train his psyche as much as his takedown defense. The loss to Nogueira would be tough to take for any fighter, as Schaub looked close to a win before Nog came back with the Brazilian crowd roaring behind him. Perhaps the loss steeled Schaub for his next bout. Perhaps it shook him. We'll find out Saturday.
Can Chad Griggs handle the jump in competition? In Strikeforce, Chad Griggs' last three bouts were against Valentijn Overeem, who had dropped two out of five bouts heading into their fight, Gian Villante, who is 2-2 in Strikeforce, and Bobby Lashley, the former pro wrestler who hasn't faced the best in competition. Now, Griggs will face undefeated Travis Browne. Will he win his UFC debut?
What did being cut do to (or for) Miguel Torres? In December, Miguel Torres was cut from the UFC after making a joke about a rape van. He was welcomed back after doing charity work and making a full apology. In his first fight back, Torres wasn't given an easy bout. Instead, he will have to fight McDonald, the aforementioned phenom. Can Torres show he's still a relevant bantamweight?
Is it possible for Jones/Evans to live up to the hype? This fight has been talked about for more than a year. Even Jones and Evans are sick of talking about each other, about their coaches, about their former friendship, and about what they plan to do to each other. Now that they're so close to actually punching each other in the face, expectations are so lofty that nothing short of a Dan Henderson/Mauricio "Shogun" Rua-esque bout will satisfy. Looking at Evans' last few fights, that's unlikely.

Rihanna Shares Topless Pics From Hawaiian Getaway
Pop star shows off her beach body in photos posted on her Facebook page.

Rihanna on vacation in Hawaii
Photo: Rihanna's Facebook
Oh, to be young, beautiful, rich and famous. It sure looks like one heck of a good time.
At least that's what we gather from the photos Rihanna posted to her Facebook Monday night of the Hawaiian getaway she took earlier this year. The Barbadian pop star posted 169 pics of herself and friends enjoying a little fun in the sun, horseback riding, swimming with sharks, enjoying some Bud Light on a boat and lounging on a surf board. Oh, and taking her top off under a waterfall.
For photos from Rihanna's relaxing Hawaiian getaway, click here.
If there was ever any question that the "We Found Love" singer is just about the fittest pop star in the game, these pictures confirm it. From every angle, Rihanna looks amazing; she's rocking visible abs, toned arms and loose, curly locks, and stripped of her diva costumes and makeup, she's a natural stunner. In one pic, RiRi even bares some skin. Bathing under a waterfall, she doffs her bikini top and shoots the camera an ear-to-ear smile.
Though she's since returned to the grind, shooting a video for her new single "Where Have You Been," she made time to support producer buddy Calvin Harris this weekend at Coachella, where she also seemed to be having quite a good time.
Note to all those who are, like us, looking at these pictures from their desk inside: We must have done something wrong.

Space Shuttle Discovery salutes Washington on historic final flight
As historic flights go, this has to be right up there with the best of 'em. Space Shuttle Discovery performed a final fly-by over the capital, and created a trail of excited spotters as it did so. Perched atop a Boeing 747, the iconic craft was flying at a relatively low 1,500 feet according to NASA. Pictures of the voyage have been popping up on social media and image sharing sites as it headed in from the west, before coming to its final resting place at a special off-shoot of the Smithsonian Institute's National Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport. Have you spotted Discovery? Be sure to add links in the comments if you do.

ZTE Optik getting a minor update, brings some fixes and enhancements
Sprint is pushing out a small update for the 7-inch ZTE Optik today, bringing a few welcome bug fixes to the tablet and some decent software enhancements. According to the official changelog, we should be seeing the following:
- Google DRM solution
- Google Music
- Google+
- Persistent notification after BT transfer
- Software version corrected in x-wap profile
- Sim City closes when attempting to purchase while connected to Wifi
- Sim City download issue fixed
- Response when connected to a computer via USB cable
As the Optik ships with Honeycomb, Google Music and Plus weren't baked in. This update changes that and drops the Google services, along with unwanted, but necessary, DRM solutions into the system itself. Add in some small fixes for Bluetooth notifications, app specific bugs getting addressed, and hopefully a fix for the issue where a computer couldn't communicate via the USB cable and you have the makings of a nice little update here.
I just finished up the review for the Optik this weekend, but I'll hold it back a few days and check out this new update.

TNT Express, which used operations research to modernize operations and strengthen its carbon footprint, won the 2012 Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences at a banquet sponsored by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) in Huntington Beach last night.
The competition took place at the INFORMS 2012 Conference on Business Analytics and Operations Research. INFORMS is the premier organization for advanced analytics professionals.
"Little did we know when the financial crisis hit us hard in 2008 that we'd be standing here tonight at the Edelman Award ceremony," said Chris Goosens, the company's Managing Director Global Networks and Operations.
The Franz Edelman competition, now celebrating its 40th year, attests to the contributions of operations research and analytics in the profit and non-profit sectors. Since its inception in 1972, cumulative dollar benefits from Edelman finalist projects have reached $180 billion.
Every week 4.7 million parcels, documents, and pieces of freight must be transported by TNT Express to over 200 countries while maintaining the company's service standards. Until recently, this was done without mathematical support. In 2005 TNT moved to a fact-based decision-making system, the Global Optimization (GO) Program, which uses mathematical modeling.
As a result, decision-making improved system-wide, with significant operational benefits. Between 2008 and 2011, TNT Express realized more than 207 million in savings and benefits.
The six finalists competing in the 2012 Franz Edelman Award Competition included teams from Carlson Hotels, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Greek shipping company Danaos Corporation, HP, and Intel.
Professor Graham Rand of the Lancaster University Management School in the United Kingdom was master of ceremonies of the gala at which the Edelman winner was announced.
Every year, the Franz Edelman competition recognizes outstanding examples of operations research-based projects that have transformed companies, entire industries, and people's lives. O.R. uses advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions.

Past Franz Edelman winners include MISO, Indeval, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and IBM. Additional information about the Edelman Competition is online at http://www.scienceofbetter.org/Edelman.
